I was once a cherubic soul ... but I lost my wings - along with a lot of other things - on August 11, 2005. Since then, my beloved husband and I have tried to pick up the pieces of our shattered dreams and make sense of what's happened - if there is any sense to be made out of babies dying. This bit of virtual space is where I work through my grief and anger over Ryan's death, my frustration at dealing with unexplained infertility, and my joy at finally conceiving and welcoming Ryan's healthy little sisters into the world.

This is so beautiful. I am in tears. I check out your blog once in a while and know you had a very long road before your daughter was born and starting healing your heart. I have been in a similar place for three years but things also changed for me on the same day when my twins were born on 5/29. Your daughter is beautiful.
